And some more funny signs and strange menu offers:

We also visited the famous Cu Chi Tunnels, an immense network of connecting underground tunnels, that are part of a much larger network of tunnels that underlie much of the country. The tunnels were used by Viet Cong guerillas as hiding spots during the Vietnam war, as well as serving as communication and supply routes, hospitals, food and weapon caches and living quarters for numerous guerrilla fighters. The tunnel systems were of great importance to the Viet Cong in their resistance to American forces, and helped achieve ultimate military success.

We could try to climb into one of the original tunnels - about 45 cm wide.

Just for the tourists they made some tunnels wider and higher - so you can get a feeling of how it feels down there. Every 20 meters there is an exit, so if you get to claustrophobic you can get out. We got out at the second exit - crawling around in a tunnel just got too exhausting!! And everyone was soaked in sweat.

If you want you can pay 10 Euro for 10 shots with a AK 47. Tourists doing so gives a quite dramatic acoustic background to others clambering around in the tunnels.
