Sapa

Our room with view and Alpine ski resort flair...
The view from the balcony towards Fansipan, the highest mountain in Vietnam at 3143 m!

The beautiful moutain town Sapa seen from Ham Rong mountain.

Flowers everywhere!

The indigenous people of the area are proud of their beautifully embroidered traditional clothes and wear them all the time, also for identity reasons, as there are several different tribes of socalled "ethnic minorities" in the hills around Sapa.

Women of the H'Mong tribe.

Red Dzao women.

New friends!

Traditional dance show.

Coulourful markets.

Sunset over rice fields.

Our motorbike!

Rolling around the hills is so much fun!

At the pass between Sapa province and Lai Chau province, not far from the Chinese border - the highest pass in the country!

But be careful who comes around the corner...

... or across the bridge!

Waterfalls...

... rice paddies...

... ancient carved boulders...

... and more water buffalos!
