Trasportation

It's stunning what people are able to transport on motorbikes in Asia. We already don't believe when they say all our luggage isn't a problem (and it isn't, for them - when I already have a lot to do to cling on to the bike myself, with just a handbag, they easily transport 2 big trolleys, 2 backpacks, small stuff - and a sixpack of water!), but WHAT they transport is amazing. In Hue we saw someone transporting at least 6 live chicken (I say 2 heads to the left and 4 to the right, but who knows how many were in the middle?) in the FOOTSPACE of his Scooter. In Cambodia you might remember the picture we posted of THREE live BIG pigs on the back of a motorbike. There are whole photobooks about it - live pigs, chicken, ducks, dogs, BUFFALOS, skyscrapers of baskets, walls of flowers, and of course - table,s chairs, matrasses, cupboards, bath tubs, meterlong pipes, windowframes... It's unbelievable.

Only if there is REALLY a lot to transport, they might invent something else.
 

Otherwise you can of course transport it on a bicycle - especially in Hoi An.
